Solving Earth’s problems from space
- EUSPA received a raft of proposals from the first Horizon Europe call – each of which aims to develop space-based solutions to some of today’s most pressing challenges.
- One of those challenges is the world’s water crisis – a problem that not only means 785 million people lack access to clean water, but one that also impacts the fishing and aquaculture industries and the health of our oceans, lakes and rivers.
- As part of World Water Day, EUSPA highlighted how space-based solutions are working to ensure the healthy climate, oceans and freshwater systems that make our water sustainable, safe and sanitary.
